yep..They are in Ankara and Eski[ch351]ehir..In a museum but not well looked after :(

yep..They are in Ankara and Eski[ch351]ehir..In a museum but not well looked after :(

Thanks Cem, I don't know if they are the ones.  Aparently Turkish State Railways have five dumped on a scrapyard (no-one in the UK is allowed to say where apparently due to blowing the deal) and at least three (not for the first time) are going to be bought for restoration in the UK. ;)

The information I have Martin is that a Mr. Mike Hoskin, Chairman of the Churchill 8F Company, which own the Gloucester & Warwickshire Railway based Stanier 'Black 5' 4-6-0 45160, is in negotiations with Turkish State Railways for four (not three as I stated earlier :-[) 8F's out of six surviors currently still 'dumped'. ;)
