aaaaarrrrrgggghhh........pi***ng vectras
« on: 26 October 2008, 08:30:16 »

just got tricked in to servicing the wifes vectra. What brain decided to squash a 2.5 v6 in that engine bay?  My god, it took me about three hours to change the plugs and leads.  Found the back bank had never been done tho (its an s reg on 85000) and leads where all original. I literally had to dismantle the engine to do it. All service stamps from vauxhall and they'd never changed the plugs.......shows them for the gibbering monkeys they are.
Oh how i love the negine bay in my mig now.

Ive done them on my V6 vec... and I need to change them on my Omega V6... (Would rather do the vec again!)

However, from looking under the bonnet, the Vectra looks easier than the mig   >:(

On the vectra, its just a case of removing the plenums, and then there plenty of space...

However, I can see the Right bank of the engine been a pig to get to on the Omega as theres alsort living above it, including the engine wiring loom I think!  :(

2.0 Omega
2.5 Vectra

VEctra would be fine with the 2.0 and Omegas TBH work well with the V6
