And one more thing - when a custom import tax is added to to all items from China/H-K? I've   heard many stories that Inland Revenue have sent letters to people to pay tax. Is it true?
Worse - Royal Fail pay it on your behalf and then charge you a handling fee for the pleasure...then insist you must go to the sorting office to pay it first.

To be specific - you've paid 3,68 not 0.99 but this is what e-bay looks like. Today, I've paid £6 for items and £12 for shipping... :(

Thats something else people dont always spot till too late esp on Buy it now.

Very cheap item and extremely high postage fee....saves the seller paying high listing fee.

Like £0.99 for a wrist watch and £9.99 for postage. Especially from Honk-Kong. I've never ordered anything from H-K but reading feedbacks, many people complain that item is lower quality than advertised.  Not many will send it back.

Bought a few things from Hong Kong, little batteries in bulk, in particular, as said, just watch the P&P
Always been surprised by the quick delivery times from there as well, always faster than quoted, wich makes for a happy customer :y :y

Not sure what size your referring too but Pound shops have now starting selling batteries...for a £1 a time for 10 Kodak.

Various sizes in varying quantities.

The last ones I bought were for some mini remote cars, checking the shops was £2.99 for 3, I bought 50 for .99p and £6.00 p&P so was happy. I always check other prices first, but previous ones for electric 'T' lights were also much cheaper in bulk, relative to uk sellers who sell in 10's :y

One more thing I've noticed about ebay - some items finish at stupid time when people don't have time to check. This way my wife missed new Next trousers, that were sold for less than £2. Same pair was sold for £10.5 but it was Friday late evening.
I am also looking for a table top dishwasher. I have missed Bosch one for £67 but it was sold on Tuesday, very similar finished just now - went for £120 and 18 bidders! People are crazy when bidding on weekends.

I wont miss a purchase cos it ends at a strange time, not if I want really want it. Just put in a maximum bid and it will bid up to that automatically for you, if it goes beyond you maximum bid then it was perhaps not the right deal anyway. :y

I think the limit is £28 total value for a "gift", anything above this attracts customs duty. I once bought a BGA soldering machine from HK. It cost about £300, and I got a further bill for £50  :'(

It can happen, but should you not be out lambing, we have them here in the fields. :y
My daughter and her friends, at school, are raising chicks from eggs, they are naming them, I suggested PAXO as a name, it went over her head, as did standing by the sheep field and shouting 'mint sauce' ;D ;D ;D

 ::) Awww.....that cruel; Paxo! ;D

Lambs are arriving in "dribs and drabs" at the moment; another 300 'Larries' are expected during the next two weeks.
I`ll be going `round the flock in a few minutes; at least the weather is kind at the moment. :y
