They reckon keeping marine fish is no harder, and thats its all about getting the water right from the start.

the guy i got the tank from was going on about protein skimmers & gawd knows what else, rather expensive as well, wouldnt want to pay £40 for a fish knowing how prone to stress they are & karking it within 2 days :'(

Even for tropical that can take months, and several lost fish along the way. :(

I tired to build a protein skimmer the other day... didnt work!  ;D

Unfortunately I lost a few fish a few weeks back (just after I took the photo... I lost 2 out of the 3 zebra danios which ive had for a year or two, the tetra which ive had for at least 3 years :-( and a baby guppy) I think I upset the balance when I went a bit OTT cleaning the tank + filter out  :-[

I've never tested the water levels before in any of my tanks... And today I decided to treat myself to a test kit.

All the levels were either non exsistant, or bang on where they should be  :y Wooo!

God knows how TBH,  as i've been lazy with the tank since the last load of fish died  :-[

Found a dead clown loach tonight :'( did the right thing and said a few words as I flushed the chain. ::)
