Any Fish Keepers on here?
« on: 19 April 2009, 12:57:43 »

Every now and again I have a look on Ebay thinking one day I may get a setup.

Just been on and found this for sale.  must have been one serious keeper.

Theres a guy in Sheffield that builds tanks to order, a few years ago he got a builder to put some H girders in and went on to build 2 long tanks, they must have been 8 to 10 long.

He put Marine in one and Tropicals in the other.  I was just faciated by the miniture Sharks which he said would grow to a reasonable size based on the tank.

Just checked the net, seems he is still in business but no web site, was looking for a picture of the tanks.

not a big fan of indoor fish (got the daughter a tank with 3 fish last week and we're down to 2 already :-/)

Do like pond fish though, very relaxing watching the Koi swim about to the gentle sound of running water, ahhh..... :)

Had some tropicals a few years ago.

My Mum had a couple of baby size ponds she used to love messing about with, had a four fish, nothing special, but had a problem with frogs.

I must admit I have allways fancied a 2 or 3 tiered cascading pond set up.  Maybe one day.

Whenever I see fish tanks I always think of my then to be father-in-laws set up, and when I accidentally knocked the lid, complete with 240v lights, into the tank and just stopped myself reaching into the  water to pull them back out! ::) ::) ::)  He was powering them from a 13amp socket from a fuse box prior to RCB's! ::) ::)

Always fancied though having a big fish tank, but what if I broke the glass?  I live in a third floor flat!! :D :D ;)
