....,but due to time/work pressures I would be unable to get to you or any other forum member for that matter.
I have been disappointed with this thread . ......
After more than 1200 posts  I fear that OOF is not for me anymore. :'( :'(

 :-? :-? :-? :-?
You only posted of your MOT fail yesterday afternoon, most people have time/work pressures too. You haven't been short on suggestions of where bits can be bought/obtained.

I certainly do not expect any special treatment .But the thread had already dropped well down the second page ,and I only have 10 days with which to MOT my miggy. So time is short. :-*

When I have been waiting for a quick reply on something I keep adding bits to get back to the top  :D :D :D :D Maybe this should be in Wanted????? I never thought this  site was about someone else fixing my car, I thought it was so they could teach me how to do it myself  :) your Mot list sounds a bit more complicated than mine otherwise I would have come and helped you :D :D :D :D :D :D but I would probably make it worse ::) ::) ::)

It has been covered a few times now, but a town name would be really helpful here - I am from Boston and am often up that way - if you have no better offers I would happily change discs, pads and spring.

It is difficult to comment on the rear brake line as there are a few places where it could need replacing - perhaps taking a picture of the offending area (if it was pointed out to you) would help?

I thought you were in Shropshire not Lincolshire!

Lol, was just thinking the same.

Also Dusty, on the test bits, I would make sure you have a pair of springs fitted rather than just the broken one.

Disappointingly Skruntie.,I may have to pay a garage to do the work,as nobody here at OOF has said that they would be able to do the work for me. :-/ :-/ :-/ :-* thus far. :-/ :-/

offer still stands dusty but you will have to come to me  :y

Thanks Markey, but due to time/work pressures I would be unable to get to you or any other forum member for that matter.
I have been disappointed with this thread .You are the only forum member who has offered to help make my miggy MOT worthy. :-/ :-/
Due to the lack of any real help ,I have today booked my miggy in at the MOT garage for next Friday.(at considerable cost that I can not really afford.) :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/
I would have been happy to pay a competent forum member to have worked on my miggy at my house.it would have been nice to meet some other OOFers ,but it is not to be.(I would have even supplied free beer and lunch).

After more than 1200 posts  I fear that OOF is not for me anymore. :'( :'(

I wish all the best to everyone.

Dusty :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

P.S .Markey...I hope that your JPG aftershave feached you O.K.
if i was in your area i would have done the work on your migg. but its a bit to far away for me sorry dusty :( :y

Platty if you get your petrol from Tesco in Boston and if your car is a brown estate with much of the trim missing down the one side then I think I have seen you there, but did not approach you, woman on her own etc. etc.

I was in a silver Omega parked next to you.

With regards to the work for the MOT it nobody's fault and I am not blaming any forum members for not doing it, all though I was a little disappointed in the response.

I am however acutely aware that this is a male forum, and perhaps like many women it is hard to fit in here for a long period of time. :-* :-* :-* :-*

Surely you would have to wait in while someone came over to do the repairs.

Yep... I think that's a little harsh!

I'm sure Debs and LZ would have something to say to it :o :o

Dusty, don't give up on us... It's just a case of unlucky timing I'd say :y :y

We still love you :-* :-* :-*

Until I joined, I thought I had spark plugs in my TD ::) let alone be talked through changing my glow plugs in 2 hours :D :D :D :D :D
Maybe we could have a WOOF section "womans omega owner forum "   ;D ;D ;D but personally I would rather hang out with the guys ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) Now after saying all that who wants to come and help me with my break discs ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Dusty, I am sad that your car failed its MOT and that you feel the response to your request has been lacklustre.....

However I do see people on here offering you help but your attitude isnt very welcoming and you wont/cant even make the time to get your own car sorted out.......it takes 2 to get it done you know !!!!

I noticed Mark DTM has twice asked you whereabouts you are, yet twice you havent given him an answer which is sad because he is probably your best bet at getting your car sorted !!!

Not having a go at you at all, but why not help us to help you ??

Dusty, you never gave a location......South Lincolnshire stretches from Skegness to Grantham and includes Holbeach, Boston, Bourne, Sleaford!

Thats a hell of a big area

The same location that my OOF car sticker was sent to Mark :-* :-*

And as far as i know it isnt Mark that ships the OOF stickers out........?!?!?

My final comments:

Lets not over intellectualise this chaps. I have enjoyed my time here at OOF but I do not feel it is for me any longer.

I done not blame any particular OOF members for my leaving.

Luckily I/we are not a houseband OOFers who need to get out more. We have family friends and social life which we enjoy so no worries there.

I will try and keep in touch which Lizzie through email, because she has to read the rest of my book (poor Lizzie)

So all of you have a great summer with lots of health wealth and happiness and lots of Dusty kisses all round :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

No worries..........hope it all works out ok

Weird how earlier you had no time at all spare to sort you own car out (due to time/work pressures) now you are trying to tell us all how fantastic your social life is......??

People tried to help, you just didnt see it !!!

Anyway, hey ho

Grey estate, some trim missing - fill up there once a month maybe.

Made my offer but appears your mind is made up. Shame.
