I've known Cem for quite a while. He is very sensitive and if something has happened to upset him, we would not necessarily know what it was. If he feels he has reason to leave, then let it be.

Stmo has a point, sometimes enquires into matters like this can have a negative effect on the individual concerned.

I would tend not to apply any pressure for cem to give his reasons.  I'm sure that he's monitoring the forum and will be well aware that we are upset at his departure.   I'm also sure that should he wish to reveal his reasons - he will :y

Sorry to hear this Cem, I have received some great advice from you in the past. I hope I have not said or done anything to offend you.  :'(

All the best for the future.

The lesson for all members is to 'engage brain before posting' in case remarks, regardless of whether meant in jest ,are misinterpretted particularly by those whose first language is not English

Cem, it will be a great pity, and a loss to OOF if you do leave the forum, and I hope you reconcider your decision. but whatever you decide I wish you best wishes and good luck for the future.

Tony

Just wondering aloud. Was it the comment made on the first page of this thread that upset Cem?

Like I said, Steve, I was just wondering. I wasn't digging by the way, I was just reading through the thread because I hadn't done so earlier.  ;)

You will also notice that I didn't post in the bnp thread. You should all know better than to debate such an immotive subject on, when all is said and done, a car forum.

True, but we can't talk about cars all the time and this place does become a bit like the local (Nag's Head, anyone?), so emotive subjects will crop up from time to time.

Anyway, it wasn't as emotive a subject as the Great Hall Cupboard Project of 2007.  ;) ;D ;Dl
