They stuck to your teeth like crazy, but after a while they got all sophisticated and brought them out in dark chocolate as well :y

After reading LKs thread on his dark choc (which i love) got me trying to remember the sweets i used to eat as a kid. Splicer bars, parma violets and sweet peanuts come to mind but cant think of many more. Refresh my memory folks. What did you chomp on as a nipper?

Didn't the liquorice tube in a sherbet fountain used to have a hole running through it so that you could suck the sherbet, get it wrong, inhale it and cough your lungs up?
Now they are solid which to me defeats the object of calling it a sherbet fountain

Bet it's H&S again

Used to love Texan bars, lasted forever, by the time you`d finished them your jaws were aching!! IIRC they had a cartoon ad with a firing squad falling asleep waiting for the guy to finish his `last request`!   ;D ;D

Different thing Zulu, Dime bars were square and flat and had `crispy bits` in. Texan was about Mars bar size with hard-as-hell toffee in chocolate. (both were deeelish though) And just to get on my soap-box for a second - Marathons were DEFINATELY bigger than Snickers!!!  >:( >:( :D

lion bars.

Also Jubblies (the sort of triangular fruit ices). Not a sweet as such but memorable nonetheless.
