Front Poly-bushes

Well, they're fitted. Definately tightened the front end up, but not harsh and I haven't noticed any increase in road noise. Didn't fit the Anti-roll bar "D" bushes as it seems a bit of a fiddle to get at the 2 x 13mm bolts. That job can wait a little.
I've made a "How To.." video on the wishbone bushes, but can't get it onto Photobucket at the moment. Will look into why and post if I get it sorted.

All in all, front Poly-bushes get a :y in my opinion.

Sounds good,  are they supplied for an Omega or adapted, plus are they available for the rear as well (if there are any buhes that can be done on the rear that is)

Specific for Omega. Kit consists of 2 x front (large) wishbone bushes and 2 x anti-roll bar "D" bushes. £65.00 delivered.

I fitted adjustable Poly's to the rear of my Elite. I got them from Regal Auto. Same as Vectra I think. Bit pricey though, pretty sure they were well over £200. About 6 years ago so can't really remember exactly how much.

noticed any bump steer? Which i assume means bumps kicking the steering wheel esp round corners....?
Interesting subject though. Look forward to video, and any good and bad points.

All I can say is that I have no reservations at all. Why they don't fit them as standard I don't know !
So simple. Polyurathane bush and a metal inner sleeve...end of chat.
One of the bushes I removed had an outer metal sleeve, another outer metal sleeve, the moulded rubber, a moulded plastic section...and then the inner sleeve. The other was a different make and only had the one outer sleeve. 
No issues with the steering when cornering on uneven ground.   
I've been pondering over it for a few months and when my off-side bush gave up the ghost last week I decided to go for them.
Wish I'd done it years ago  ::)

Please note: There was no outer sleeve with a cut out "window" fitted to the 2nd bush I removed. That had only the one outer metal sleeve, so obviously there are variations.

Sounds useful, can you create all this as a how2 in the test section?

Only thought of posting the video when I'd done one bush. Wish I'd video'd things as I went. Would probably make more sense than my wittering and muttering.  ::)
I have a few other photos, I'll see what I can come up with. Never know...it may even make sense.  :D
