I can say with some authority that the "back of house" conditions at a well-known upmarket pizza restaurant chain are very tightly managed and regularly inspected, not just by Council Inspectors, but also by company inspectors who turn up unannounced. I would happily eat at any of their branches. (Clue = dough balls). ;)

Are you working for the BBC now Nick? You CAN actually mention the place.

Yep, this is "Name that Restaurant" and I'm your host.
 ;) ;D

OK, Steve, you've had one clue. Here's the next one. The first restaurant in this chain was opened in London in 1965.

why are these "dirty" restaurants allowedto continue trading and potentially poisoning people - instead of fining them they should close them down if the conditions are so bad

OK, Steve; Here are the four options:

Dab's Plaice (Fish'n'Chips)
The Golden Labrador (Korean Takeway)
PizzaExpress
The Greek's Greasy Urn (Grease)

Do you want a 50/50? ;) ;D ;D

Sadly, and bizarrely enough, it did seem the likes of McDonalds, BK, KFC, Wimpey - all the fast food burger crap places - had the cleanest kitchens and highest hygene standards.  Shame the food is plastic.

An Ex of mine used to work for one of Ronald's branches an apparently they had an inspection cover that would pop up and issue sewage onto the kitchen floor at regular intervals.  :o

Kevin

My £50 is on Colchester High street. ;)

i dont eat chicken (it smells of sh1te) and dont like fast food ,so I couldnt give a monkeys what they get up to in their "restuarants". :D
