That is nothing, must have had that tonight......Gritter/Plough just gone past as we speak....  Must say though I am sick of the bloomin stuff now......

It stopped snowing here late afternoon. I'm with you though now, getting a bit fed up of it now!

That's what causes us the problems in our village, one road through and gets cut off either side because of the fields, at the moment we have not got the winds for the drifts, thankfully...........

We get ours tomorrow afternoon, it seems.  Still got the New Year's Eve downfall in the back garden. 

We've only been in Suffolk for 15 years - hardly any snow to memtion in that time, so I've not seen drifts here.

I remember in 1991 (when I was at school in Holbrook) jumping into drifts that were 6-7 feet deep

And we had an "East v's West" snowball fight... 680 odd boys in 2 teams pelting each other with snowballs!

Ahh, yes. I remember it too. I was at the University of Essex. They had a huuuge tarmac car park that was empty because nobody else made it in. ... and I had a RWD car.

I remember driving along a deserted A133 between Colchester and Elmstead market on sheet ice. Dead straight stretch of road and you could turn the steering wheel practically lock to lock while the car carried on straight as a die. I know cos I was young and stupid and tried it.
