there was a rumour a couple of years ago that it was made in N Korea and Iran, but no-one would substantiate the fact at the time.

Always have to use easy start, sprayed liberally into the carb at the start of every season. It starts first time on the lazy start key after that.

Lol, we had a mower like that last year at the heritage centre....that was until some bright spark blew half a tin in and when it fired it blew the cylidner head off!

Both my mowers (the good old Suffolk Punch and my Atco Balmoral with electric start) fired first pull again this year.  :y

Plug mine in and off it goes

B&D mainds powered rotary.

VEry little grass now, almost all veg beds

Indeed. Or to look at it another way: If cutting the grass didn't involve tinkering with mechanical things and the combustion of petrol I'd never do it and the garden would be in a right state. ::)

Absolutely....hence I felt the need for 2 mowers....as a rotary just doesn't get the finish of a cylidner but a cylinder cant be used for every cut

Yes, that's about where I currently find myself. And the front garden's poxy and awkwardly-shaped so it's hardly worth lugging a cylinder mower round there unless I'm feeling really keen. ::)

I wouldn't be without the scarifying cassette for the cylinder mower though.

I do worry about the sexuality of grown men using electric mowers, its simply not right.

I do use an electric (well, cordless) strimmer though - but always on the lookout for a petrol one ;D

So you should be. :o

If it doesn't deafen the neighbours, emit choking blue smoke and rev to five figure speeds it's showing a distinct feminine side. ;)

And as for being weedy enough to operate without a connection to the national grid.... ::)
