I miss the cat in the hat (well upsidedown rice bowl)-he sort of looked old and wise and kindly like he belonged in some kids movie about wizards or something....

While I wouldn't in any way wish to offend anyone on the forum by defending Ms. Chakrabarti, I have to say that she is a pussycat compared to some of her predecessors.

I'm old enough to remember the days when Patricia Hewitt was the Director of the National Council for Civil Liberties.  Just hearing her name announced on the radio prior to an interview (rant) could induce apoplexy in moderate folk such as myself, and the BS she spewed forth makes Shami C. seem almost Conservative.

Hewitt also takes the prize for hypocrisy, because after she left NCCL, the next we hear of her is as a consultant for Andersen's (Accenture, these days, following some massive c*ck-ups on a number of Government IT projects).  And then, hey presto, she's a Government minister. 

Shami C. is going to have to go a long way to cap Hewitt's performance. :(

Ms Verasmy is very attractive without doubt G :y - but she lacks that 'boyish' allure demanded by some of the membership. :-* :-* :y
