Hi,

i've just checked back after getting home from work and there are now 2 "No Name" entries: 1 near Plymouth and 1 in Fairfield, Stockton on Tees.

I'll be removing these unless they are claimed, anyone want to stake a claim?

I'll remove by end of play tonight unless I hear. :y

added mine  :y

looks like there are only one or two who are further south than me

I'm guessing at (assuming) JayW for the unclaimed near Plymouth as he isn't named on the list, says he is very "South" and joined up only last night. His profile also says "Plymouth/Epsom"

done thanks :y :y :yon the satelite view i am just coming in to the top of my street,it's like this on google earth is that cool or what 8-) 8-) 8-)

And I'm guessing that Geoff had some issues and double entered as he is very close by and only joined up last night too. His profile also says "Stockton-On-Tees".

If anyone genuinely lives on Culross Grove in Fairfax, sorry I deleted your marker as it had "no name". :-?

This is brilliant !!!. Albatross 'well done', vehicle owner clubs much bigger and established for a lot longer don't have this abillity or the drive to have this sort of instant information available for it's members. "Moderators" this requiries a 'header' of it's own, other info could be added ie reg number of members' cars, mobile telephone numbers, etc.
Albatross, I have no idea who you are but thanks for taking the time in launching the idea and monitoring it since Saturday.  :y :y :y

Richard A

Richard, initially thank for the appreciation :y

I really don't want to come accross as ungrateful/ungracious, but I don't think that VRN numbers is wise as it might pose a security risk (ID Theft), vehicle cloning etc.). I also don't know if that particular peice of information would add much value, but I do thank you for your appreciation and suggestions generally.

Hi. Totally agree about adding reg numbers as i may have been a victim of number plate cloning recently. Perhaps as members do show pics of their cars under their forum name or in the gallery section they may consider blanking out the reg numbers as well. Anyone as a guest to the forum can see the pics. Lets face it, it's the cars we admire...not the number plates.

Very interesting !!!
I deliberately started a new post because when a topic grows to 13 pages people loose interest, this should have it's own header, however the moderators appear to be at work again subduing the members  :(
p.s. anyway well done Albatross.

I don't think that this is the case, or particularly fair; Hotel21 and I are actively investigating a method to embed and publish this map functionality within the OOF.

Watch this space for updates.

Point noted Richard_A.  It becomes even more confusing, however, if two threads are running concurrently but seperately on the same subject, hence merging your initial post into the existing thread.

Hi Albatross,
I've managed to correct my location but can't delete the one I don't want. Junction of Links Ave. & Churchill Ave. is the correct one, if you wouldn't mind deleting the other for me, please.
Thanks,
Bill.

Can you rename the one you don't want to "Delete me" please?

Thanks

Nathan

I got your PM and have removed the house number as requested :y

Hi Nathan,
Originally set my location via post code but it was 6 houses out  >:( so therefore marked as 'to delete' and reset graphically which is 'spot on'  :y. So could you remove the 'to delete' location please.

Must be the auto address thing, but my address says Highroad ave, this is wrong, I am High road, round the corner is high road ave, which is where the pointer is, about 6 houses away. :)
