am I the only one who does not give a damn what plate is on the car?  :-/

To be honest I think they are a waste of money and can think of far better things to buy!

following the Grumpy Young Persons post, I never paid for any of my numbers....

6677UP was on my first car, a Mini Traveler with wood and a floor starter.... :y

5990MF was from a Ford 100E which I got for nothing and transferred the plate to a MK1 Ford Escort Estate where it remained till I sold the car some years later for £50.. :(  iirc no retention in those days and I had got a company Van so had nowhere to put the plate... :( :(

B3 MSF a 40th Birthday Present, yes you may well be shocked, but was true, some years ago ;D ;D ;D from my Dad, something to keep in the long term.. :y :y

My Carlton Diamond had the plate L510 VAT.

My postcode is LS10, but I'm not an accountant.

My ideal number plates would be

B165HED for the van
and B16 EGG (of course) for the mega
or A11 OVA

Understood Mark. Private plates are an unnecessary indulgence, can't deny that. However i would never spend what you have to travel around Europe or live in London (which is where i'm originally from anyway) I'd rather have a house & workshop elsewhere for my Mig & classic car.
You've done very well for yourself, will progress further in life & so you should. You've worked hard & deserve it. When certain folk made jibes at you regarding parental help i stuck up for you & put them right because i know you better.

Takes all sorts mate, we're all different. Guy :y
