I was under the impression that if something was thought to be 'silent but deadly' the reference was directed towards an entirely different experience. ;D

You are correct all the same OM2, as a kid I remember the whoosh as they sped along the road and the chirrups (and occasional flash) from line junctions as the conducting booms made contact with them.

Just wandering when these were taken out of service  :-? :-? :-? as i cant remember them driving around Coventry in my younger days
