Thanks for the offer :y I will certainly lob a doss bag in the car just in case. There are plenty of beds not too far away at Hotel Kevin Wood too but I suspect finding someone sober enough to get us there might be an issue. :: (unless Mrs. KW is around - she's currently undecided ::) )

I have just been called by the manager of the palce where the meet is supposed to take place.  Apparently there is a significant asbestos risk in that building!  :o

I's not just in the ceiling, small parts have fallen off the roof onto the ground.  Even if we use masks there will still be a lot caught up in your clothes etc.

As the weather is due to be shitty use of the compound is not feasible until the summer.  I am very sorry to everyone as I wasnt aware of this problem and I dont want people getting ill, asbestosis is not a nice thing to have.

Apologies to all who were coming down.  I am absolutely gutted.  :'( :'(

We can use the compound when the weather gets better but until then.....

That is a real gutter especially with all the hard work that you have put in.

Does anyone know of a suitable place nearby that would enable the meet to still take place?

Really sorry to hear this.  :( Still, best to be on the safe side. I knew someone who succumbed to asbestos. It's not to be messed with.

My first thoughts were also whether we could find an alternative - even if we can't find a venue to work on cars perhaps we could keep our appointment with the curry house?

People are welcome to come to my house in Maidenhead. Only thing is my driveway is narrow and you could only get 3 cars max on there.

Thats a nice thought Radar. But i think the weather this weekend will require some cover. Its lashing down with added wind from the south ..... And i dont mean from the curry either. ;D

The weather is dodgy at present isn't it!

I've told SWMBO and looks like i'm going to take the family out now so i'm afraid i can't make the curry house.
