Cheers Markie!
« on: 02 July 2007, 15:19:20 »

Just a quick post to say thanks to Markie for picking up two nice new 72Ah batteries for me to replace the now very close to dead ones in my BMW. It was nice to finally meet you and SWMBO, and to have a look at that ever-expanding fleet of yours. I get the impression you may be adding another car to the fleet after my visit, only this time it'll have a propellor badge on the front and a V8 engine under the bonnet ;).

BTW The meega is back in full working order now as my dad spontaneously decided to replace the rear dampers for me :D so I may go back to using that more often, 17 MPG is really starting to bruise my wallet :O. Maybe I should park my cars at my parents' house more often!

Hope to catch up at a meet in the not too distant future :y

Cheers mate! Yeah the V8 does sound lush, and that's it totally factory standard -- you should hear one with aftermarket exhausts or even just an X-pipe replacing the centre silencers :o

I was pussying it out of the street too, I think I shifted up at 2,000 RPM! Redline is at 7,000 RPM which is quite high for a V8 (crap compared to the M5's 8,000 RPM though!)
