thankyou for a reply pete.as i said via pm,this was not started to say that i was not dissapointed with petes origanal work, just what has happend since that.it might be my fault the car has broken,it might be petes.i simply wanted to say that i would have thought he and others would say please bring it back, ill look and if its me ill put right.that is what i would do regardless of its 50p or £5000.i did not and do not expect a garauntee as with a dealer.perhaps in hindsight i should not have made this public, but stating dissapointment in somones response should be allowed!

Just read most of this and find it very sad that someone has felt the need to " air their dirty washing" in a public place........ a favour was done at a resonable price compaired to what a dealer would charge ( but it appears that you expected ther same sort of service you would get from them.... sorry it doesnt work that way)

We all have problems with our cars  and some us dont have a clue where to start hence why we come on here for the info .... so please dont spoil it for others  as the knowlegdeable ones could turn around and say f*** it let em pay a dealer..... So in short keep ya negative comments to yourselfs and look it up in the manuals and do it yourself !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im very greatful  for all the info Ive picked up from here  eiither from the boards or via PMS.

Notice touch aswell Welung :y :y :y

Pete is one of the most helpful members on the forum. Being busy does not mean he is not taking an interest. Pete would want to allow enough time to see you and look at the problem properly with the correct tools and if that meant waiting a week then so be it.

Its worth the wait and would have saved you money.

we all want problems sorted right now as they are annoying but it doesnt always work that way. I reckon the fact he couldnt do it when you wanted it done was the real issue.

Not having a go in anyway as were all in to our omegas but a bit of paitence may have lead to this thread never being started. :)

Perhaps now would be a good time to lock the thread, now that Pete has put his response.

As it sounds like this could get into a slanging match from those not directly involved if not careful  ::)  ::) , which could be more messy than the orignal post & response !!!!!!  :o  :o

It's a shame when things like this happen between members & i hope Ice man & Pete manage to smooth things over. Pete has been here pretty much since the word go & i've been around nearly as long so seen & been involved in a few spats but still love the forum & those on here.
Suffice to say i hope you stick around Ice Man & become as "seasoned" as many of us & one day you & Pete can blow the froth off a couple of  beers & shake hands & an OOFMEET, somewhere sometime. Guy. :y

Simon (Mr Ice Man) is quite within his rights to say if he's unhappy, after all there are alot of people who say when they are happy with work and it should be the same if they are unhappy, when I said I was busy last week maybe I should have added that I could look at it this week and maybe Simon should have sent a pm but its water under the bridge now and a lesson learnt.  ;)
