Which tyre supplier?
« on: 19 July 2011, 19:50:37 »

Got a couple of mill of legal tread left so not massively urgent but any advice on cheap suppliers?

Looking at 245x40x18  93y sc3 if that matters.

I'm doing the usual blackboots, Micheldever, and the local ish lot at Martins tyres but any more worth a go?

Bracknell Tyre & Battery got me tyres cheaper than mytyres were doing them online, if they're at all convenient for you?

Check your local independent. If they are anything like mine, they take a fair bit of beating, both on price as well as service/time taken.  :)

They get mixed reviews on PistonHeads, but I don't personally know anyone who's had a problem - and as I say, they were very cheap (and had no problem with me wandering into the fitting bay to look at the knackered tyre they were taking off)..

I'll 3rd recommend these guys, looking at 225/55 16's for mine. They can "fit" Falken 912's for £85 a corner....can't buy cheaper online. Used them for years  :y :y
