Also picked up a brand spanking Peugeot 2008 that I have sourced for someone. Initially quite impressed, for what it is :y

We use one at work and it is crap.  ;)

This is top of the range, top power derv drinker. Not something I would buy for me but as a (relatively) small FWD shitbox it seems reasonable. It's got all the toys bar the auto parking feature and the touchscreen sat nav seems ok

ours is a 308SW sorry (but its still crap)

Very plastic but seats are quite comfy

Had it valeted by the Kosovans... Did a good job too :y

Then broke the LPG :'( Not had a chance to look properly but pinging up injector faults 2 (intermittently) and 4. Looks like an expensive few days running around on petrol until I get a chance to look properly ::)

Fixed itself today ::) :y

I'll have to look properly later but in the mean time... :D

Replaced both rear springs and gave all brake pipes a good greasing  so ready for the winter months now.

Dropped the diff and replaced the oil with new as had a slight weep from bottom of the plate. All sealed and back together .Thanks MarkDTM for guidance  :y

Today i did an experiment with my 2.2 petrol to see how much mpg i could get by driving sensibly.

I'd change gear at 2000rpm and managed an awsome 23.5mpg average over a 10 mile journey around town which i thought was pretty good :y

But on the way back got borded of driving like miss daisy and went back to normal driving and got 18.5mpg out of it  :D :D ;D ;D

last Friday we set off on holiday in the diseasal automatic Galaxy.

Today I had to fill it up for the first time. 560 miles on one tank & it cost €70 to fill it (about £50?) The computer has been showing between 42 & 45 mpg for most of the trip.

Drove it to Old Warden. Pitched the tent, and I'm sitting on the hill listening to the Rolling Stones tribute band, with a coolbox full of cold beer and some chocolate biscuits.
There are hotrods, customs and equally silly cars and the nutters that drive them everywhere.
The crap week is looking a lot better now.

Good news: Picked it up after service & MOT.  :y
Bad news: Vx say it has a water leak & requires new head gaskets. Asking substantial money plus 2 days to do job & one for testing. Basically replace head gaskets & cam belt?  :(

Car has only done 55K & had the belt/water pump changed August 2014.

Advice please?
TIA
