Thanks for the offer mate but I got some ;) dont get me wrong i took all precautions and it was all properly safe.... but whilst i was undoing the filter housing i just had flashing images of what it would be like to have an oil sump in the place my jaw used to be  :D :-[

Started to change my CD alloys for CDX ones but then the heavens opened  :(

Oh well may have to try tomw instead  :y

Tyres aren't the best on my CD ones and the CDX wheels are in better nick with nice tyres all round  :y

May keep the CD ones as spares tho  ;)

bloomin annoying as its only done 80k.
chances are its a 98 engine ( seem to be prone to it that year) although not registered until feb 99.

fitted new rad and rejetted holley carb on my rover 2000 and fitted new track rod arms on mig then did tracking-busy day off work :y

Jump started it, pumped up the tyres, added some petrol & LPG (it needed some of both quite desperately!) and drove it over to my MOT test garage ready for tomorrow's test... Fingers crossed it passes as I need it useable by Tuesday at the latest!

Mind you, I did tell him that and he said that he couldn't see any problems (he knows how fussy I am and that he doesn't get any work out of me) :-X :y

.............It passed. A few advisories but nothing major. It just needs using and a bit of a tidy up underneath when I get a chance :y :y
