Actually used it.  Croydon and back.

Amazed the old girl wasn't on bricks when you came back to her.

I used to have a client in croydon bang opposite the station, but I still drove. Truly one of the sh!ttiest places I ever had to spend time.
Its a grim place.  If you ignore Boxpark, there is sod all to eat if you don't want to eat in whichever shithole hotel your firm puts you up in...   ...and for my firm, even Premier In is too upmarket ;D

New battery for the Omega from Halfords.
The old one is still under warranty from Tayna, but they completely refuse to communicate about it, so I will vote with my wallet and never buy from Tayna again.

Their reputation has gone over a cliff lately... I think they've been bought out?

Tayna was acquired by the Alliance Automotive Group. As you say, their previously excellent customer service has gone to shit according to many recent reviews.

Initially I spoke to a guy on the phone who said he would send me an email which required me to give some info.
He said he would send it immediately and if I replied quickly it would go to the warranty team and the issue should be resolved by the end of the day.
I never got an email, so I emailed them. I then used the message facility on their website twice to try and get a response.
Havent heard a word from them, which is piss poor.
I have used them for years and have recommended them to friends, family, and on various forums.
Never again. >:(

From when I first started using them, I didn't like their warranty procedures, as effectively you had to wait for them/their suppliers to test the battery, so you could be carless for a couple of weeks.

Not an issue if you have a serviceable spare battery - I tend to keep the old batteries if not totally shagged, and keep them charged every few months.

So for the JLR cars - a brand known to be excessively twitchy with ageing batteries - I did the Halfords thing for convenience for warranty.

Does sound like Tayna have got bad though...

No, I'm wrong, I had to google how to turn on AC on a Panda.  No symbols or anything on the button - you press the fan switch in.

So I'm not a prize eedjit for cocking up the booking, but am for being too stoooopid to know how to use it!

Not that far down, only in the Aegian, and low 20s.  Was an "interesting" final 45m approach though.

Cleaned the breathers. Went to change the oil & filter and discovered I have no oil filters in stock.  ::)
Just ordered three genuine filters from an ebay seller which should be here in a few days, so will have to wait until then.

Gave it a good clean. First time in ages. Then off to Rutland Water for a few days.

Wasn’t looking forward to the trip even though it’s only 30-odd miles, because way back when I used to go this way regularly Melton Mowbray and Oakham were always choked up with traffic.

But now both bypassed, which is great (if you like roundabouts every half mile!). Old person you see - so never satisfied.

If only it had one!

I cannot believe people would buy these shitboxes with their own money.  Even Italians.
