A couple of the power sockets packed up, so checked the fuses and found a blown one, changed it and all good.  :y

It should have been an easy job, but I've never seen such a stupid design for the front fuse box. There's a little hatch at the back of the glovebox and the fuses are a good 6" further in. There are cables in the way and had to change the fuse mostly by feel as you can't see inside when most of your arm is in the hole!  ::)

Whoever thought that was a good idea should be taken out in front......    Well you know the rest.  :-X  ::)

Needle nose pliers are your friend for that fusebox.

I found mine were too chunky, so I used a pair of tweezers.  :)

Try checking a Smart Roadster's SAM/Fuse-relay box  ;) It needs lowering on its plastic 'hinges' but even then they're a PITA to access.  :y :y

Yesterday finally got round to going to lock up to try bleeding the Omegas brakes. Some time ago I replced n/s rear caliper after which no end of brake pumping(with two of tackling the job) would stop the pedal going straight to the floor. Big worry was an air lock in abs block. Yesterday put a newly acquired pressure bleeder on it and after a couple of hours( due to very limited clearance in the garage to get the wheels off/on) I've got a usable brake pedal again! Although it will still need money spending on it there is hope that it may return to the road later this year/early next year after 8 yrs sat in the garage.

Fortunately, just to the right, a decent set of switchbacks to lower you a few hundred metres down to the green area.  The Soviet VW had some proper hot brakes ;D
