I had an XE (2  litre derv, I think) as a loaner car once.

With a proper engine (Petrol) it would have made a good car because it felt good to drive.

It has an excellent chassis.

It's a great driver's chassis - capable, lots of feedback, yet supremely comfortable, even with the crap seats in her poverty spec model.

I feel like one of these with the 3.0 supercharged V6 may be an itch I have to scratch at some point - I imagine it would be a stonking daily driver!

The 2L is not too slow at 6.7 to 60.

Presumably a battery issue, rather than all that going wonky at the same time?  :-\

Well, fingers crossed.  Though they are all brake related, bar the gearbox.  And on applying and releasing the brakes, it felt like they were taking a while to release....   ...but it has all that complex shit on it, so could still be an eco having a spaz.

The brake releasing seems too consistent, and seems to fully release to make me think its not a sticky caliper.

Do you recall that I mentioned that if I don’t pump the brake pedal before exiting rear pad change service mode, the car gets angry. This is the type of thing that I was referring to. The module throws a tantrum, not just on the EPB though. I wonder if it could be related to that.  :-\

You need to take it to the main dealer. They are all jolly nice chaps and will have it sorted for you in a jiffy.

I can't believe you'd advocate for a car with a mere 4 cylinders.

Who are you and what did you do with opti

Given the choice of XE I'd go for the V6S with 375BHP, I think.....but all things considered the 4 pot P250 is probably the sensible choice.  :)

There's a pulley kit for the supercharger,.about £1500 for that and a remap allegedly gets you to 465bhp.

Should be entertaining... >:D

Until it blows up >:D

That V6 is a proper British Leyland product... They couldn't even be bothered to finish machining it and gave up after doing a 3/4 job >:D
