Swapped the engine loom and treated the car to its 220k service ::)

Might even wash it tomorrow :P needs 2 more front tyres as the duruns I got stuck with are absolute crap.  They've only lasted 3k which is a blessing :o floating round corners in a two ton boat has killed the outside edges. Fortunately the autogrips on the back don't really handle water either so the car actually drifts around corners quite nicely rather than simply understeeting into the scenery :-X

80k service time - Oil Change & Filter, ATF replaced, LPG filter, Air filter, Pollen filter & Bounce (see if it works), Plugs, New front disks & pads, new rear pads, Exhaust manifold gasket. Phew !!! knackered came home, fell asleep, just woke up

Tommorrow activities are,  fit a dining room radiator in the morning then cam belt and tensioner, inspect water pump, aux belt, flush and renew coolant. Then sleep

A good clean in and out and polish on Saturday - Admire work - then sleep

NOT a fun job

Fitted new MAF sensor, easy job, didn't fix the problem  >:(

Oil and filter change on the loan van, checked it over generally and then went and swapped it over with mine so I can get my one serviced and the damage repaired ::)

Then went and spent £280 in Machine Mart on tools and equipment for the new area :'( But at least I had a VAT free voucher and saved £60 or so :y

Had to use it unexpectedly when I got home from work yesterday morning to get to Colchester in a hurry. It quickly became clear that it had a nasty misfire,on both gas and petrol. Feels very much like the misfire in my previous Mig when the dispack went down. Had to use it again late last night to colchester and back - round trip 25 miles, seemed even worse.
Donnt have time to investigate at the moment, too many other (more important) plates spinning.Expect a wanted ad for a good used dispack next week.
Glad I have the old Chavalier to fall back on.
I always have spares, but not usually the ones I need. ::)
