Replaced a worn tyre with a new Dunlop Sport Maxx but was too frightened to post this event on a tyre thread

Attempted to remove the alternator on the 3.2 estate. Bagpipes came out easily, and so did the bottom alternator bolt. The top one however isn't as easy. I found it hard to get the ring spanner on the rear bolt to keep it still whilst undoing the front. I think I'll give it another go tomorrow! Trying to get it all ready for the paintshop and then the application of the livery!
Can pop up tomorrow if you're still stuck :y

Now ... what I did to our car today:

Changed the O/S track rod end, due to slight play. Piece of mind for a mere 12 bucks! ;)
Wheel alignment tomorrow.

Then refitted a door speaker cover ... after some 'anonymous' soul kicked it off! >:(

Today's project duly completed! :y

Which type? RT? GT? Or did you manage to find a TT?

Had the MV6 today. I love that car. The baseball capped Pug driving yoof who thought his penis was bigger than it was didn't, as he fancied his chances, but lacked the stopping, acceleration and cornering capability of an MV6.  But I think his tail pipe had a larger bore than mine...

Shit at everything ;D
Basically a high payload 3.5t, with an 80% box body, with barn doors and an afterthought tail lift which isn't large enough to manoeuvre a full size pallet on ::) and because the taillift is an after thought, there's a 12"x 6" hole where the door catches are, so you can never get a pump truck cleanly onto it...
Then some ejit in Japan thought that it would be a cracking idea to fit a 100l tank to summat that has the worlds slippiest, most indecisive slushbox, ever fitted to anything. I drove from Chichester to Lewes and back today, used 1/3 tank of fuel. 14mpg from a hybrid with DPF ;D

To put that into perspective, I have managed an overall MPG of 14.3 from a V reg Volvo 18t, with nearly  100 times the mileage on it :-\

So to answer your question...

It's shit. Properly, totally and undisputably shit.
