Wrote it off...  :o
Bugger. Are you OK?

Yeah... The stag won!!
Where were ya, Rendlesham Forest? Nearly hit a big old brute of a stag there a couple of years ago. Nearly crapped meself. ;D

Yes and no, I live on the outer edge but Sutton side, not Rendleshsm side. But he actually came out of the turf field from behind a tree heading towards the forest :o

It's normally Muntjac around here but I doubt hitting one of them would have worked out much better for me!

Today I have been abusing the Battlebus on steep, narrow roads.  Mullered the brakes, and knackered the economy, but its behaving remarkably well.

Could definitely have used those missing horses today though, so need to have a poke around the turbo when I get home, along with grinding down the caliper mounting bracket to make the pads sit a little better on the back.

You know you could just get something decent and new and not spend 80% of your time repairing 3 rusting wrecks  ;D
Firstly, we've already proved there is nothing out there that isn't a compromise on what I already have, certainly with a £10k budget. We've done long threads over the past year, and nobody came up with anything remotely close to a viable replacement, only the badge snobbery shite they personally desired.

Secondly, I'd wager that the bus has virtually no more rust on than a much newer, poor mans Pisshat.

Well , I think I can almost suggest something what you want TB....

The only thing I think it fails on is mpg......

Its RWD....Its comfy....Its a saloon...Its an auto....Loads of room....Its within budget.....

http://greatwesterncarsales.co.uk/vehicle/make/41/min_price/0/order/price/dir/ASC/limit/10/

Ok....so it will only probably do about 10mpg.......but its within TB's other requirements  :y :)

Better off with the turbo-R red label, and handling pack,
biggest problem TB would encounter with a std Bentley,RR of the T2 age is suspension collapse, or back axle ripping out, hence needing the R package.,they do make very good progress, for a 2 1/4 ton barge.

Suspension is hydrulic, uses spheres' and citron type fluid.

I know ,but TB would want to chuck all that in the bin to make it go around corners, and then complain about the harsh ride.  :D ;D
Might be able to fill the spheres with grease as a compromise though.  :y ;D

Hmmm, was stroking chin for a minute ;D.  Having had a blast in one of joshwyatt's Bentleys (GT I think), it was effortlessly quick* if somewhat naughty in the bends*

I think I'd need a bigger driveway, seeing as even a Range Rover was looking a bit big on it.

*Probably going far too quick to be well behaved, as it was ridiculously quick to get its saggy arse to well over instant ban territory without realising.

I'll have you know I've not boiled any brakes in Brakkers.  I'm a good boy, and believe in letting cars warm up and cool down before/after enthusiastic driving.

Now Milton Keynes....  ....did I mention I work in Milton Keynes....   ....yup, that's an issue ;D
