Out of interest TB did you use favicon for the address bar logo? You probably know this anyway and this might sound a bit suck eggish, but you could animate it and really excite some of our members.
This is the code example for animated logos.

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico">
<link rel="icon" href="animated_favicon1.gif" type="image/gif" >

I has the same problem, couldn't get the logo to appear (IE7). Did a google on favicon problems and followed the following advice

  • delete any exisiting favourites entries for that site and links entries for that site.
  • delete temporary internet files and history
  • empty the recycle bin.
  • find site from address bar again
I did this and whalla, I now have an OOF icon - thanks!  :y

If that doesn't work - which it wont  :D then imagine OOF surrounded by a little pale blue square and now you are complete :y

Yes, did know that.  It wasn't my intention to do anything flash, just purely to keep our error logs more managable.
