Hello chaps (and chapettes)
« on: 14 February 2007, 17:29:36 »

Hi,
I found your forum after being highly entertained by the thread on VxON about the cambelt party.

I'm on my second Omega (98 2.5 estate manual) - my wife now has my first (a 1994 2.0 estate).   That car (the 2.0) has done c. 185k and is still going strong.  The MOT man usually insists on the odd bit of suspension/brake pipe, and last time was rude enough to suggest that his headlamps were too opaque -but not bad considering his age and mileage (the car is getting on a bit too ;D).

I think Omega's are cracking cars for the money.  Sure they have their problems but so do all cars (even Mercs).

Cheers

Ian

Welcome to the site :)

That day was a pretty amazing day, if bloody cold (made worse by the fact when I got back home, my boiler had packed up).  It shows what can be achieved.  I think most of the people involved in that are members here now...

Hi Ian and welcome aboard :y They are great cars for the money but can cost a bit in upkeep unless you're an Omega wizard like some of the guys on here. ;) :)
