So what can cause a misfire?

Faulty DIS
Faulty Leads
Fault plugs  (brand new - one had cracked when Tunnie and I checked, so replaced the set)
Leaky rocker gasket

Any other cause?
nope - after that your really looking at freaks of nature   :(

Seems to cruise OK, just acceleration, esp when low revs or pulling from standstill. Idle a little lumpy as well.

Does that give any clues?

I have a gut feeling, not that I've checked it yet. I hope it isn't as not a job I look forward to...

Possibly. I'd say unlikely in this case though.

I may have cured the misfire, certainly temporarily.

Just thrashed Proj TB1 to within an inch of its life around the villages around the back of my place, and not a misfire at all :D

Alas, Tunnie, it handles similar to your 2.2 on that S bend between here and Halse, got a right wiggle on.

I shall see if the problem reoccurs before stating what I think the issue was (not quite sure between 2 possibilities)

OK, you got no further forward with that? Taken the seat out yet, and check for power?  I'm not around this weekend, so can't be then...

For the boot thingie, I need to talk to Marks_DTM first...
