« on: 21 September 2006, 19:37:42 »

why does it keep doing it???? i have had it out changed the bulb, put it in the airing cupboard, and still it mists up,condensation on the inside,no matter what i do with it it keeps creeping back in.....i did notice that one of the leg pieces that hold the bulb in was missing,so only one side of the bulb is tight, could this be the cause???anyone got a spare bulb holder spring bit.???

Probably either tiny chip (likely) or the seal has failed. New unit is around £50

A small bead of silicon sealant will do the trick. Used it on one of my rear lights that kept getting water in it, still okay 1 year later.

Remember and use clear silicone, with just a fine hole on the applicator nozzle. Less is more.  ;)

Is yours a facelift mod - if so how do you get to the bulbs? I used the silicone on my old Granny - worked a treat
