Ribbed or clear headlights
« on: 03 November 2006, 22:11:54 »

hi as mention before i have 1996 Omega, can i replace the ribbed lights with these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vauxhall-Omega-1994-99-Clear-Lens-Headlight-New_W0QQitemZ4633660297QQihZ002QQcategoryZ10404QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem

if i can't what other options do i have, i like the Omega but the light output sucks.

And before anyone asks the cambelt was done at 99700 miles it now has 108000 miles.

cheers [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

You could try upgrading your bulbs, I put "50%" brighter ones in mine which make a difference, although they're still not great & if the lenses you have are discoloured; you can T-cut them .

Agreed, I put 30% brighter ones in & was well pleased with the result, this however was at the same time as the new clear headlights, so it was probably down to both, either way it was well worth it (headlights were free by the way)

The clear, projector headlights are much, much better than the ribbed reflection lights. And put +50 type bulbs in for even better lighting. Still not a match for proper HIDs though....
