Been there, done that...  ;D

It's an easy job if you are willing to fork-out for a long breaker bar, 320NM torque wrench, and £70 bearing...

Whoops, ran out of time on Sunday to look at the cam sprockets.

Interestingly the car has leaked oil since the alternator was dropped and replaced to change the knock sensor wire - the cam cover gaskets were done a fair few weeks later because that's what I thought was causing the oil leak!  But I agree that there could be black sealant in the wrong place...
