They appear to rust from inside out. So if its bad, source replacement door.

I have been 'playing' with this ailment a bit recently.....

I have come to the conclusion that its possibly caused by

a) Grit getting trapped between the seal and paint

b) damage to the paint during assembly.

I have managed to remove the seal by starting at the B post end and easing it out and then working along lifting a small bit at a time in order to try to keep the seal straight.

The rust on these cars is a proper pisser, mine has the classic spot on the bottom centre of the two front doors and it's starting to get quite bad. I've been tempted to get it sorted but not sure if it's worth the effort as it seems guaranteed to come back soon enough.

Been on the lookout for replacement doors within driving distance but nothing in the correct colour :(

That's pretty disappointing considering yours is two years younger than mine. I don't hold out much hope of finding a scrapped Omega with rust-free doors at all TBH. I think I'll just have to try repairing them, even if it is only a temporary fix. Not a job I've any experience of, seeing that all of my previous cars combined have less rust than this Omega ::) It really is the achilles heel of these cars.
