Given that the sensor is alright for a little while, I bet the washer system keeps sludging up. I'd give it all a good blast through (pull the pump & filter out on top of the black tank @ the front) with the hosepipe next time you're in the garden. Then refill it with fresh water/screenwash, and NOT washing up liquid cos I reckon that's the slimey little culprit

Cheers m8 will have a look at that, think your probably right about the washing up liquid, although I haven't used any, you just never know what previous owners have used!!
