central locking problem

the central locking on my passenger side front door does not work from the fob or by the lock is this an esy fix plus the thing that hold door open also does not work my car is an 2000 w reg facelift model thanks

central locking solonliod fubard. easy to fix just remove the lock assy and fit new solonoid to the bracket [ 2 screws ] and refit lock. 30min job.

 ahh the crack of doom,  see the maintenance guides for info on the door check strap :y

can i fit a central door locking solonoid from a pre facelift onto a facelift model and do i have to take the door card off to get to door lock if any one has some pictures that would be great.can not find any in haynes book thanks again every one

Changed mine recently on the facelift, it is different to a pre facelift, there are pictures on here, have a look on the search pages for door card removal, it easy to change, just a bit awkward.

The solonoid from a pre facelift should fit a face lift but the electrical plug might be diff. remove the door card and you will see the solonoid and lock. ;)

Deffinatly worth checking first as mine was different to a pre facelift.
