Adjusting Main Beams
« on: 15 October 2007, 19:10:46 »

Projector type headlamps
Both Dipped beams set correctly
Both level adjuster servos operating

Problem is that the offside main beam points at the ground a couple of metres ahead of the car, while the nearside main beam lights up the road correctly a long way ahead

Any suggestions as to how the main beam can be adjusted without upsetting the dipped beam allignment or why this situation exists?

By dipped beams set correctly presume you mean the LHD levers?

Servo's operating as you see the lights moving on bumps?

If the dipped is fine, got to be something wrong with main beam, not adjustable on its own.  Double check bulb fitting is correct

Will do
As the bulbs are tricky to get in I'll remove the whole headlamp just to make sure that it is seating correctly
