It means the alloy is buckled and no longer round.

And WTF I thought the passenger alloy was damaged in the accident too. Make sure you insist they replace this as well. Bunch of Cowboys !

Oh well! it certainly felt like a buckle so hopefully this will be the correct diagnosis and solution. The other front alloy is being refurbished, so should be good as new  :y

I would have wanted it written off, I'd never trust a car again after more than a very light shunt..

Passenger side took outer impact and the drivers had impact from the inner side  :-[ :-[
I like to do things in style  :P

I should add that the impact wasn't massive but the steering lock was on so there was very little give in the front wheels.

What I think has happened is this, assuming this is being done on insurance, then the dealer has gone round the car and quoted what he thinks needs to be done to repair it.
It looks like the dealer has under estimated the cost of the repair and tried to get away without doing it properly in order to come in on costs as quoted to the insurance company.
Because he has PHAILLED, he will now bear any additional costs not the insurance company.

Make sure you get it sorted 100% and don't take no for an answer, I would be tempted to contact your insurance company as a precaution and bring them up to speed.
