Pretty sure you would get a magnet down the plug hole and pull it out with the Piston head in the right place, saying thatits not gunna help matters by the sounds of things if its already not running properly  :-/

i think the reason it's not been running properly is because it's not been firing on two cylinders since the plugs got attacked with something inside the bore lol!

This rough running issue is very similar to the problem i had with a v6 veccy that i worked on, the spark plug failed and the ceramic core dropped into the cylinder causeing it to wedge its self between the piston and cylinder bore, causing damage to ther bore and breaking a piece off the piston crown, thus a BAD misfire and no power. Lets hope that it is a valve issue rather than a bore problem. ::)
