Very strange - wheels spinning
« on: 08 February 2009, 08:38:42 »

Hi all

Is it normal for the rear wheels to spin (quite fast) when the car is jacked up with the engine running in neutral on the 3.0 Elite auto?

All cars will 'Drive' when the drive wheels are lifted,

We have done work on cars, gearboxes, clutches etc and then 'drove' them on the stands to make sure everything is ok before putting it all back together.....

Strange though when you run the car through the gears and the speedo and rev counter etc all go up and your not moving!

Bear the following in mind though ...........

If yours has a limited-slip diff, ensure BOTH drive wheels are lifted, (and securely supported), clear of the ground.
