If you take the door card off and look at the back of the handle you will see the unit for the lock etc,replace it with another one,usually a trip to your local breakers would be your best bet....

I used to have a 'poverty spec' 1995 M reg 8v select - certainly did have remote locking (infared). That said, you had to stand so close to the bloody car it was as easy to use the key
