That must be your other car!  :-/ Mine doesn't flash. It will appear in the display in preferance to what you might have otherwise selected, but it does't flash on mine, nor have my Senators with a similar set-up.  :y :y :y

On my facelift, the temp will flash at you when it drops below 4 degrees.  On my old mini facelift, a snowflake icon used to appear beside the temperature.

Mine flashes too on start up until you press the button on the stalk.

Yeah it both flashes and replaces what you actually want to see........................
