Autobox Shifter shakes on bumps
« on: 24 February 2009, 22:08:38 »

When going over speed bumps etc there is quite a lot of shake on the autobox shifter. Both engine mountings appear to be in good nick with not to much play - is it likely to be the gearbox mounting ?

You know, that's a good point - mine does the same thing.

Solid as a rock when driving on flat roads, though, so I didn't think it was worth worrying about. Now I have something else to worry about!  ;)

The same GM tolerances that leave the standard camber setup tramlining all over the place? I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case!  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

And my newly purchased facelift omega does it too - I was a bit concerned myself as my old omega never used to.

Nearly everything on the facelift model seems flimsier and cheaper than on the old shape omega's....
