Desolder old chip.

Solder in socket (available from Maplin/Farnell/Whoever)

Plug old chip in and make sure it all still works.

Remove old chip, plug in new one.

I just got the chip in mine, I had a field techie (who knows how to solder properly) perform the change of chip which was a nightmare the old chip refused to be unsoldered for some reason, with all necessary tools and a very experienced person doing the job...

The car now runs very well, it certainly pushes me into the back of the seat when I accelerate, which it does very happily...  Definate Grin factor...  I just need to watch the loud pedal now... lol...

Oh, anyone know how to switch off the speed limiter???
