mot question ?

hi all
is anyone on here an mot tester or can some one answer a question for me please.
1.. are reverse lights tested as mine are a bit hit and miss wether they work or not.
2.. are front fog lights tested if fitted? mine not working.

Fog Lights only th rears are required and yes reverse lights are needed!!!

I watched them MOT my other car last week, didn't see them look at the reversing lights........Not sure about front fogs might be like rear wipers not compulsary fitments, so not tested.

It's a safety feature not an MOT requirement :y

hi folks just to clear it up the first post is correct . i am a tester( just to clarify) lol . even if front fogs fitted and dont work is only an advisory. and reverse lights not checked as part of mot requirements, but a good tester may check them any way and advise they not working. hope this helps! :D

my mot testers has never checked either of these on any of my cars
there is no requirement to check according to the website


easiest way to find out is to mot your car and see what happens
