Wasn't there a special edition of the last year's production, an "executive" or something along those lines (may be wrong) that had nearly Elite spec.

In any case I would go for the V6 every time  :y

I've just done a check, it comes back as being a CD model. And it has no xenon's fitted, which were standard on the Elite's. You can tell because you can see in picture 4 the adjuster for the headlights, and xenon's don't have an internal adjuster switch. Someone's trying to pass it off as an Elite. Oh, and all later Elite's had rear parking sensors which this one doesn't.

Somethings odd here-tried searching what appears to be FL03 KKT-no response, not listed.

Tried FL03 KXT and got this:
We've identified your car as a VAUXHALL VECTRA ELITE DTI 16V (1994cc DIESEL, 5 Door HATCHBACK).

I used http://www.freecarcheck.org and got the details of Vauxhall Omega CD auto. Which I believe. I think it is a CD, and someone is trying to pass it off as an elite by fitting elite wheels and rear boot spoiler.

Unless the plate has been fiddled with for the ad to prevent cloning, this comes back as a Vectra DTI Diesel Estate.

Other things in the ad don't add up to.

Intuition says look elsewhere, regardless of the plate...

;D thanks! I think the problem is that it hasn't been upspecced, it's only got the elite wheels and boot spoiler. I think the seller is just trying it on. I've emailed the seller, it could be a genuine mistake...but somehow I doubt it. That is one thing that does annoy me, people lying about cars they are selling.

At the bottom of the listing in all the ebay T & C's it has a link saying more info on a 2003 Omega CD......

Kind of gives it away - PLUS the seller looks like a breaker of Audi's looking at his other items for sale.

Have we blown enough holes in this "Elite" yet??  ;)

That's what I actually meant-put some bits off a higher spec to up the spec (not designation)  :y

Haha thanks Chris. I do still have the grey 2.6 Elite. If you want, we can have another go and see if we can come to deal good for both of us? If not then not a problem, if you do send me a quick PM and we can go from there  :y
