I'll definitely miss the chipping :) 10x

And the last unclear to me thing is that "mysterious"button Is that for sure for on/off the esp? Like you said there is a difference between UK Vauxhalls and the Opel, but i suppose that the button is the same or i am wrong?

Ours has abs button there, symbol of car skidding. We don't have the diamond shape around it though

well well, i have just got out of mercedes diesel in disgust, we have an uphill driveway and yes at the moment we have snow :( so 2 hours ago i drove the omega estate 2.5td up the driveway in 4 nches of snow, little bit of wheelspin but it got there no problem really, so have just spent an hour trying to get the merc estate up the same drive way, not a bloody chance!!! got omegaup by turning off the road onto drive at about 30mph little bit of sideways action but it gives me the momentum t get up the hill, try it in the merc about 22times and guess what? soon as it goes sideways the damned ESP puts the brake on the correct the skid, and you lose speed just whe you need it!! this thing has an electronic diff as well so it puts the brakes on to stop the wheels spinning, again just when you need the momentum the bloody thing slows you down!! left merc at bottom of driveway went and got the omega my mrs is screaming you bloody idiot you wont get it up there!! drove down the hill turned round did the same thing come off the road at same speed and sailed straight up it!!! spent twenty mins trying to turn esp off and guess what? you cant!!! grrrr esp? you can keep it!!!

That is the ESP button, allowing you to turn it off. See here http://images.omegaowners.com/documents/UserGuides/OmegaOct2002.pdf  Sheet 156 in the pdf link that I have included.

Hi guys :)

Today i checked the car's manual and the button is for the ESP :) i am glad for that. I want to ask some other things...

1. I cannot access the computer i mean it wants a CODE for the radio and etc... on the display was the sign "SAFE"".. the seller told me that by the chassis number i will get the CODE.. is that true?

2. I was driving omega automatic before and i was able to switch the gears from P to D when the car was not ignited, but on this one the lever for the automatic was stuck i try hardly to switch down from P position but it remains... this was on not ignited car is this normal? Maybe the gearbox is different but it was odd.

Thanks in advance :)
