You can replace the sidelight bulbs (they just pull out, no bayonet fitting on the sidelights).

You need the hands of a 3 yr old though.  I replaced my bulbs (I assume its the same setup as Mini-F/L)?  I took the lights out to do it.

3 bolts, 2 on top obviously, the third is behind the lower trim piece. To remove that press out the centre peg in the plastic clip on the inboard edge with the bonnet up, remove the clip, reach in behind the trim piece and push the trim piece tab out from the back, there are a couple of things sticking out round the back there so be careful to get the right one.

With trim removed you can see the bolt through the gap, head light bracket to chassis, now you need a long quarter inch drive extention to remove the bolt through the narrow gap.

When re fitting tape the bolt to the extension, and tape the extension together so it you can pull it away from the bolt once tight.

Or remove the battery, which will need radio codes, widows and sunroof resetting, and the air box on the drivers side.

Personaly I remove the headlights. Should add, there will be some juggling to get the head light out of it's recess, but it does come out, honest.
