Sorry TB further up I was referring to the ABS ECU I just didn't mention it again in the last post.

Well i've stripped it down to the inlet manifold and all the pipes into the bridge area are dry and intact, if I add water you can see it run both directions under the manifold so looking like your guess is right and the oil cooler failed. I need a proper torx set to get lower as a few bolts are solid but I will get there for my own interest.

Opps  :-[

Are both cars pre 1998 or both post 1998?  The ABS hydraulically changed with minifacelift, going from 3 channel to 4 channel.

If the answer to that is yes, then as long as they are both from same engine adn gearbox setup, should be fine.
